Research Group: Patient Safety in Health Services

Health care is delivered in complex environments involving organizations, technology, and people. Safety incidents in health care cause significant harm and burden to patients, their relatives, and staff worldwide. Our group studies the hazards of health care across various clinical contexts, employing diverse methodologies and data sources, from single events to large-scale routine data. Our research focuses on identifying the drivers of safe care, mitigating and preventing health care-associated harm, and translating findings into structures and practices that facilitate safe, high-quality care for all.
