I am a climate scientist with expertise in climate change attribution science. My research interests lie at the intersection of climate change, health impacts and the law. Specifically, I seek to advance methodologies in attribution science to quantify the impacts of climate change on human health, in legal contexts. As part of the climate change and health team, I’m co-ordinating and managing data collection for the ACTUAL project on the impacts of humid heat on high-risk populations in the Gambia.
Before joining the Climate Change & Health group at ISPM, I worked as a Researcher in Climate Science and the Law, at the Oxford Sustainable Law Programme. Here, I developed methodologies and best-practice guidance in attribution science to assess the impact of climate change on human health. Alongside this, I have acted as a consultant for international NGOs and environmental law firms, authoring expert reports on various themes including the scientific basis for strategic litigation; assessing climate impacts for lawsuits; and the law and science of climate-related loss and damage. I hold a BA (Hons) in Geography from the University of Oxford and am currently working towards an MSc in Climate Sciences at the Oeschger Centre for Climate Change Research.
