The Fanconi Prize is awarded by pädiatrie schweiz (the Swiss Society of Paediatrics) for exceptional work for the benefit of paediatrics, including outstanding scientific contributions, significant achievements for the benefit of the health of children and adolescents, or extraordinary merits for Pädiatrie Schweiz.
The prize is named after Guido Fanconi (1892 - 1979), a Swiss paediatrician, considered one of the founders of modern paediatrics.
